The historical origins of the wealth, mining art and culture extend to the cities of Congonhas, Sao Joao del Rei and Tiradentes. From Ouro Preto, follow the road towards the first real destination to be visited. Congonhas, the city of the trump of the baroque, where we highlight the Basilica of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos, which retains the famous temple of buildings, the Passos da Paixão de Cristo, consisting of 78 life-sized sculptures, with 66 images related to the Via Sacra distributed in six chapels and 12 of the Biblical prophets carved soapstone exposed in the churchyard, this work received the title of Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1985, given the recognition of talent and brilliance of the artwork Aleijadinho.

The fascination with Baroque art continues in São João Del Rei, during the course of the Royal Road you can contemplate the view of beautiful mountains that dominate the mining landscape. Located in a valley between the hills of São Jose and Lenheiro is São João Del Rei, entering the city you can check the urban evolution of a colonial mining town, whose historic core remains well preserved in harmony with the eclectic buildings of the nineteenth century and changes in the twentieth century, its history goes through in a mix of architectural styles that originated in baroque art, right by the modern eclecticism.

Next is the small Tiradentes, one of the most visited historical cities of Minas Gerais, overlooking the city met the most beautiful basilicas in the entire state of Minas Gerais, the Matriz de Santo Antonio, built in 1710 is the second church in gold of Brazil (almost 500 kg), second only to that of São Francisco de Assis, in Salvador, Bahia. 08:00 - Departure from the hotel or other meeting point agreed with the agency, supervised by one of our guides

09:00 - Arrival at Congonhas, where the visit begins at the Basilica of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos, temple known worldwide for hosting the 12 Prophets, a masterpiece of the master Aleijadinho, museums, chapels and other churches in the city completes the tour.

10:30 - Departure from Congonhas toward Del Rei, this path is favored by the beauty and uniqueness of its mountains, in places you can see waterfalls, which demonstrates the natural resources extended by the state miner.

12:00 - Arrival in São João Del Rei, the first point to be visited is the Railway Station opened in 1881 by Dom Pedro II, the history of this railway is reported in its museum is open daily to the public.

12:30 - Lunch break.

15:00 - We leave the busy São João Del Rei and headed for the quiet Tiradentes.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation due to majeure force: If the weather would prohibit the ride or the occurrence of natural disasters, political crisis, or similar that would prohibit the ride, it will be rescheduled for another date compliant. If we cannot transfer the date, the money will be refunded after subtracting the costs already defendants and grants for the agency (guides, logistics, etc.).


No show / cancellation: Cancellations made with 03 (three) working days in advance will be refunded in full after subtract the transaction fees. For cancellations made with 02 (two) working days in advance, the money will be refunded after deduce the payments already done by the company (outsourced services) and non-refundable. In 01 (one) day or less in advance will be considered no-show, and will result in total loss of the amount deposited.


Delay: Our tours are conspicuous by their punctuality. The tour will starts at the agreed time and if the participant is not present will be considered no-show. If you have any unexpected, contact us and explain the delay, we maybe can wait for you (maximum tolerance of 10 minutes). 


Children: Children 0 to 05 years with their parents are free of charge (one child per adult's going in their parent laps and not valid for travel). Children from 06 years to be considered the total value.

Children policy

Children are allowed to ride.

- For policies about gratuity or half price tickets in churches and museums, please see with the establishment their own policies (each attraction has its politics).

- Ride not recommended for infants, there are small stretches of walking and can be uncomfortable for parents to carry the baby.

- By occupying the seat in the transport the child paid as an adult, regardless of age (ask us for a children seat in advance if needed).

Participant Guidelines

- The wear of comfortable shoes and slip, as the stones of the streets are slippery and steep hills. We recommend using sunscreen.

- In the wintertime it is necessary to wear warm clothing to combat the cold weather cities.

- Should remember that in Ouro Preto and neighboring towns, given the differences in elevation, is frequently reach low temperatures throughout the year.

- The itinerary may change according to weather conditions and / or for reasons beyond our will.

This is a collective tour. In the tour could participate together in the same group different kind of people but with the same interest to know the places and enjoy the tour. Enjoy that moment also to socialize and tell us about any inconvenience.
